As we begin a new millennium, the world perspective is more polarized than ever. We are challenged by new and more complex moral dilemmas, such as choosing between science or religion, pro-life or pro-choice, the death penalty, gay marriage, euthanasia..
the list goes on and on. It seems that western religions cannot change fast enough to keep pace with emerging scientific and social realities.
Many of us are asking, “What do I really believe—what is right and true for me?” In Zero Point: Moments Beyond Conscious Thought, Emerson takes us on a journey of understanding to the ancient wisdom of the east and re-visits timeless truths that shed light on these important issues and questions of today.
Emerson also candidly discusses subjects often considered strange from a western perspective, such as the nature of supernatural phenomenon, UFOs, astrology, and voodoo, and looks at them from an eastern or Gnostic point of view.
You will gain insight into questions such as:
- Is quantum physics saying the same thing as metaphysics?
- Is there an afterlife or reincarnation?
- Is there going to be an apocalypse?
- Do we have freewill?
- Do you know where your mind is?
The eastern scriptures tell us that the answers to all our questions lie just beneath the surface of our mind. They remind us that we just have to remember to take a look. Zero Point will help us to do just that.

Read The First Chapter
Please feel free to read the first chapter of this book and see what you think? In Thomas' books I think you'll find that he very clearly describes various spiritual concepts in a very contemporary way, revealing the central principles; using today's language, terminology, and modern examples and metaphors. He avoids as much as possible using any non-English terms or words for the sake of clarity, and in an effort to make the ancient scriptures very accessible to the modern reader. Here you can read the beginning of each book without having to buy it, sign-in, or register. Nice to see you here. Please make yourself at home, all are welcome!

This book is a collection of essays that covers a broad array of topics ranging from yoga, sex, ghosts, to near-death experiences. It's sort of a beginner's guide to New Age philosophy, and it is a very interesting and fascinating book. Emerson talks about all of these deep spiritual issues in an extremely accessible manner, and that's something that I really liked the most about this book. I never felt talked down to, and it was all very clear. Even if you're not particularly religious, this is definitely a book you can still read, and it's very factual and not preachy. A portion of the book is made up of questions and answers that have come from Thomas Emerson's students, addressing a wide variety of topics. These questions really make you think for days after you have read the book. Which is something that is really unique to this book, just how deep he goes into these spiritual issues. If you are looking for something about New Age philosophy, or a bridge between science and religion, or if you are just looking for a book that is really going to make you think, I think you should definitely check out "Zero Point."

At a time when more people are exploring broader realms of spirituality and often overwhelmed with information, Thomas Paul Emerson offers a comprehensive, reader-friendly overview of a myriad of topics associated with “New Age” exploration. The author began his own spiritual search in the sixties and traveled throughout the world looking for the answers that would relieve his confusion. After decades of study and exploration, he gained not only knowledge, but also a more complete look at spiritual diversity and how science plays a compatible part within the whole. That journey has led him to his current profession as a meditation instructor and hypnotherapist. Mr. Emerson’s vast experience and open-minded philosophy are clearly communicated in this small, yet powerful book. This is an especially nice read for those who may be just beginning to explore beyond traditional spiritual boundaries.

I've been on a spiritual path for many years, and when I read "Zero Point" I felt like all these loose pieces of my own understanding finally fell into place. In this book the author discusses the different states of awareness in light of what we know today about quantum psychics, and the nature of our brain and nervous system. He also discusses what the teachers of the Upanishads would say about some of our modern issues today regarding abortion, sexuality, capital punishment, or euthanasia. Through the author's thorough understanding of these ancient scriptures, he provides us with a perspective on these questions based on the wisdom of these great teachings. Even if you don't agree with the author on his conclusions, the process will help you to understand what you do believe. Only if you are a serious seeker should you bother to read this book, otherwise it probably won't appeal to you.
